Master Sword Enviroment WIP

I’ve been working on a small environment for a sword I modeled a while back. I don’t have much landscape-type work in my portfolio, and I’ve been wanting to change that. Between the freelance work I’ve been doing for a small startup medical company, I’ve been focusing on improving my composition and lighting with this piece. I’m aiming for some environmental storytelling, like a classic sword-in-the-stone scene inspired by the Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda, with a little fairy hovering around it. I’m planning to finish it before the end of the year, so hold me to that!


I’m using vertex painting to blend the walkway texture with the ground texture, and I’m also using a simple geometry node system to scatter four different grass meshes. I wanted it to be a subtle walk way like maybe it's not used to much or something to that effect. Still playing around with it. I also placed a few pieces additional ones by hand to make the shot look better. The little ball next to the sword is there because I plan to add a fairy flying around it in the final animation render, which is why there’s a light blue light around the sword.

Also, I’m hoping to share some of the animations and renders I’ve been doing for North Star Medical soon. It’s been great, and I’m really proud of the work I’ve done. I’m just waiting on approval, since I definitely want to keep working with these guys, haha.
